A joint meeting of Baloch and Sindhi activists was held on Monday in London. The representatives of Baloch and Sindhi communities in UK deliberated on various issues facing the Baloch and Sindhis in Pakistan.

The leaders of Balochistan Action Committee, World Sindhi Congress, and Sindhi Baloch Forum expressed their concern on the secret negotiations between the Pakistani Intelligence agency and the British officials for the extradition of Baloch human right activists from UK. It was decided in the meeting that the representatives of Baloch and Sindhi communities would contact the British government and the other relevant institutions in UK to express their deep anguish on the reports appeared in the Guardian newspaper for the extradition of Baloch in exchange of a Pakistani terrorist Mr. Abdul Rauf. It was decided to write protest letters to Prime Minister, Foreign minister and leaders of various political parties in UK to explain the Baloch point of view on this matter and update them with the current situation prevailing in Balochistan and Sindh.

The participants condemned in strongest words the human right violations committed by the state security agencies in Balochistan and Sindh. The decided that the representatives of Baloch and Sindhi communities would high light the issue of kidnapping of Baloch and Sindhi political activists, torture and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan and Sindh to relevant international organizations.

The meeting expressed concern over the continued detention of Sardar Akhtar Mengal and other Baloch and Sindhi leaders. The participant condemned the inhuman treatment of Sardar Akhtar Mengal in a Karachi prison.

The meeting also condemned the summary execution of innocent Baloch by the Iranian authorities in western Balochistan. The meeting termed the construction of a border wall in Balochistan, violation of international law and conventions. The meeting demanded from international communities to exert pressure on Iranian authorities to abandon the idea of dividing the Baloch by the construction of barriers on the controversial border.
